What to expect in this course
Birth & Breastfeeding Specialist (BBS) course was created to empower community. Regardless of your past or current experience, this course is for you. This course will empower you in providing breastfeeding education prenatally, and how to support nursing families immediately after birth in specific situations. Participants will also learn how to immediately offer lactation support after a home and hospital birth. . The BBS course is centered in community and serving at risk populations through an equity lens.
Once you’ve registered
There will be activities to assist you in applying what you are learning in the course to working in the field. You will receive a package after registration before the class starts with items used for the course. You will receive your certificate after completing the course. A scope of practice will be provided to you. There will be scholarship offered throughout the year. Stay tuned for more details.
